Patients can come to see Dr Russell-Jones with any dermatological condition including common ailments such as acne or eczema or situations where a diagnosis has not yet been reached.

Dr  Russell-Jones’ area of special expertise is in the area of diagnosis and management of skin cancer and in particular, moles, melanoma and skin lymphoma.  A significant part of Dr Russell-Jones’ practice is providing tertiary opinions for other specialists.

Areas of special interest.

Dr Russell-Jones is dual qualified in both clinical dermatology and dermatopathology.  His areas of special interest include skin cancer, moles, melanoma, skin lymphoma and any tumour relating to the skin.  Dr Russell-Jones also has a special interest in skin manifestations of systemic disease particularly autoimmune disease and cutaneous vasculitis.

General dermatological conditions

Dr Russell-Jones is happy to see patients with more general dermatological conditions such as:

  • acne
  • eczema
  • undiagnosed skin rashes
  • skin infections such as fungus or viral warts
  • nail disorders
  • hair disorders
  • abnormal pigmentation
  • patients with suspected allergy (including those requiring patch tests)

Dr Russell-Jones is a histopathologist who carries out his own histology reporting and sends results directly to the patient and to their GP.
